THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (THE FORMER BOILERHOUSE SITE, BRYNHEULOG, PENTWYN, CARDIFF) ORDER 200

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Economic Development and Transport, acting on behalf of the National Assembly for Wales proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, to authorise the stopping-up of the lengths of highway described in Schedule 1 to this notice and the provision of a new length of highway described in Schedule 2. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in Schedule 3 to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted by the County Council of the City and County of Cardiff on 19 November 2004 under Refs 04/01256/E and 04/01257/E. The Order will cease to have effect upon the cessation of the planning permission. During 28 days from 23 February 2005, copies of the draft Order and the deposited plan may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at Llanedeym Housing Office, Maelfa Shopping Centre, Llanedeym, Cardiff, or may be obtained, free of charge, from the address below, quoting the Welsh Assembly Government reference. Within the above mentioned period of 28 days any person may, by notice to the Welsh Assembly Government, Transport Wales, RA3, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ (quoting Ref CZ510-5-71-71), object to the Order. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it. (i) An irregularly shaped area totalling 190 square metres of former access road and turning area, with a maximum width of 5.5 metres and length of 26.5 metres, identified as A on the deposited plan, the centre line of which is 37 metres south of the junction of the unnamed road to Heddfan North with Brynheulog; (ii) A rectangular area 1.8 metres wide, identified as area B on the deposited plan, extending for 32 metres between the former access road identified as A on the deposited plan and the southern footway adjacent to Brynheulog; (iii) A rectangular area, 9 metres long and 6 metres wide, identified as area C on the deposited plan, located between the existing footway opposite 161-163 Brynheulog and the area identified as B on the deposited plan. Schedule 2 Description of the new highway to be provided. The length of footway to be provided, 6 metres long and 1.8 metres wide, runs in a southerly direction along the unnamed road, which leads to Heddfan North, opposite number 161 Brynheulog. Schedule 3 Erection of 4 houses with private gardens and associated car parking spaces and 5 units with associated servicing and car parking.
