Notice of application for consent to construct a combined heat and power generating station at Purland Road, West Thamesmead Business Park, London SE28. Notice is hereby given that CDCE Limited (the “Company”) has applied under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 for consent of the Secretary of State to construct and operate a 140 megawatt combined heat and power generating station at Purland Road, West Thamesmead Business Park, London SE28, and for a direction under section 90(2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted. A copy of the application, with a plan showing the land to which it relates, together with a copy of the Environmental Statement, explaning the Company’s proposals in more detail, and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications with a non-technical summary thereof, may be inspected, during normal office hours, at the following address: London Borough of Greenwich, Strategic Planning Department, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich, London SE18 6HQ. Copies of the Environmental Statement (price £150) and the Non-Technical Summary (free of charge) may be obtained while stocks last from CDCE, 5 Heathfield Road, Wandsworth, London SW18 3HX (gyoung@cdce.co.uk). Any objections to the proposals, stating the name of the power station and the grounds of the objection, should be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, c/o Bay 2123, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET, or by email to walter.gusmag@dti.gov.uk not later than 4 April 2005. Unless otherwise indicated, copies of any objections received will be made available to the London Borough of Greenwich and CDCE Limited.
