NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that SS Great Britain Trust, of Great Western Dockyard, Bristol, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Bristol Floating Harbour, at National Grid Ref ST 578 724, at Great Western Dockyard, Bristol BS1 6TY. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 88 cubic metres per hour, 1,371 cubic metres per day and 359,312 cubic metres per year, between January and December each year. The water will be used for non-evaporative cooling and waterline plate display/cooling. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at SS Great Britain, between 1 February 2005 and 3 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 4YS, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
