THE TOWER HAMLETS (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO 1) ORDER 2005

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, on 14 February 2005, made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Tower Hamlets (Prescribed Route) (No 1) Order 2005 will be to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in: (i) Hessel Street in a general northbound direction; (ii) Umberston Street in a general southbound direction; (iii) Amazon Street in a general eastbound direction. 3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 28 February 2005, can be inspected by prior appointment at the offices of Environment and Culture, Traffic and Transportation Section, 60 Southern Grove, London E3 4PN, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision provided therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
