NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Hanson Quarry Products Europe Ltd, of The Ridge, Chipping Sodbury, Bristol BS37 6AY, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence Serial No 03/28/03/0084/G to abstract water from two lagoons within the Sherwood Sandstone Group at National Grid Refs SJ 9730 1485 and SJ 9730 1515, at Pottal Pool Quarry, Penkridge, Staffordshire. The variation being applied for is to permit the abstraction of water from the new borehole at SJ 9747 1478 without increasing existing permitted daily or annual volumes. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Pottal Pool Quarry Office, Penkridge, Staffordshire, between 1 March 2005 and 31 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Sentinel House, Wellington Crescent, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS13 8RR, before the end of the said period.
