HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116
EXTINGUISHMENT OF HIGHWAY RIGHTS, LAND ADJACENT TO 41 THE MEADS AND 32 RIVERMEAD CLOSE, ROMSEY
Notice is hereby given that Hampshire County Council proposes to make application to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Pikes Hill, Lynhurst, on Monday 21 March 2005, at 2.00 pm, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, extinguishing highway rights over portions of land adjacent to 41 The Meads and 32 Rivermead Close, Romsey, which are surplus to highway requirements. A plan showing coloured blue the areas of highway the subject of the application has been deposited at Romsey Library, Station Road, Romsey, where it may be inspected during usual office hours. On the hearing of the application the applicant authority, any person to whom notice is required to be given under paragraph 1 of the Twelfth Schedule to the Highways Act 1980, any person who uses the highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, shall have the right to be heard.
