NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS TO VARY LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that: (1) Unison, Croyde Bay Holiday Centre, Croyde Bay, Braunton, North Devon. (2) Came Down Golf Club, Came Down, Dorchester, Dorset, are applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial numbers: (1) 14/50/08/0803 to abstract water from the Pilton Beds at NGR SS 438 388 (2) 13/44/56/G/110 to abstract water from the Chalk at NGR SY 691 871. The variations being applied for are: (1) To abstract from a second borehole in the Pilton Beds at SS 438 388, and increase abstraction rates to 60 cubic metres per day and 10,000 cubic metres per year. (2) To increase abstraction for spray irrigation to 70 cubic metres per day, 11,200 cubic metres (March to October); to abstract 6 cubic metres per day, 1,500 cubic metres per year for Greenkeepers’ use; increase overall daily abstraction to 86 cubic metres per day. No increase in overall annual quantity. Copies of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at the relevant address above between 17 February 2005 and 17 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about either of the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, for (1) Exminster House, Miller Way, Exminster, Devon; for (2) Rivers House, Sunrise Business Park, Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford, Dorset before the end of the said period.
