NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency, by The Liphook Equine Hospital, Forest Mere, Liphook, Hampshire GU30 7JG, for consent to discharge 18.6 cubic metres per day of treated sewage and trade effluent from the afore-mentioned site address into a ditch tributary of the Folly Pond at National Grid Ref SU 8182 2960. Details of the proposal are contained in the register held by the Agency at its office in Frimley. The register is held at Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, and may be inspected, free of charge, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Inquiries by telephone (01276 454300) may be made between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so, in writing, to the Regulatory Officer, Water Quality, Environment Agency, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Camberley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, quoting application No WQC/C/S/WR 1225, not later than 1 April 2005. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
