1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to vary the red route restrictions on the A24 London Road, by installing double red lines, prohibiting stopping at any time, as follows: (a) on the south east side, between the party wall of Nos 239 and 241 London Road and a point 110 metres south of that party wall; and (b) on the west side, between the junction with the northernmost access to Merton Technical College and a point 110 metres south of that junction. 3. The road that would be affected by the Order is the A24 London Road in the London Borough of Merton. 4. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of: Transport for London—Street Management Statutory Functions—Traffic Orders, 84 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1LP; and London Borough of Merton, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Surrey SM4 5DX 5. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Street Management, Windsor House, 42-50 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0TL, quoting Ref TASS/AD/SF/TO, GLA/2005/073, to arrive before 10 March 2005.
