THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO /200 ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200
PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS, COOMBE LANE WEST (A238) AND ADJACENT SIDE ROADS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to extend the double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions on both sides of Coombe Lane West, so that they would apply between Galsworthy Road/Gloucester Road and the New Victoria Hospital. The restrictions would also extend for approximately 18 metres into Coombe Rise, Crown Road, High Drive, Lord Chancellor Walk, Southwood Avenue and Traps Lane. Please note that the existing single yellow lines in the southern arm of Coombe Lane West (fronting Nos 144 to 150), and between the New Victoria Hospital and Beverley Way on the south side, would remain unchanged. 3. The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals, including a plan showing the location of the proposed restrictions, are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at: the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1EU, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; New Malden Library, Kingston Road, New Malden, during normal opening hours; and Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston, during normal opening hours. 4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Directorate of Environmental Services, telephone No 020 8547 5934. 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposals should be sent in writing to the Director of Environmental Services (Highways and Transportation), Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1EU, by 11 March 2005.
