NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER AND APPLICATION TO APPLY FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Marshall Farms, of Barracks Farm, Papplewick, Nottinghamshire NG15 8FG, are applying to the Environment Agency for a variation to a licence to abstract water and are applying for a new licence to abstract water, the details of which are as follows: 1. An application is being made to vary Licence No 3/28/63/76/S, in the name of Marshall Farms, which authorises abstraction from an un-named tributary of the River Leen at National Grid Ref SK 5525 5028, at the rates of 51.3 cubic metres per hour, 1,130 cubic metres per day and 60,000 cubic metres per year, between the months of April to October inclusive, for direct spray irrigation. The variation being applied for is to change the abstraction point on the unnamed tributary of the River Leen to SK 5546 4975, and to add the purpose of filling a storage area at SK 5620 5150, for subsequent spray irrigation between the months of April to October inclusive. The variation is also to authorise abstraction from the same abstraction point at SK 5546 4975, during the winter months of November to March inclusive, at the rates of 50 cubic metres per hour, 1,200 cubic metres per day and 120,000 cubic metres in total during this period, for the purpose of filling a storage area at SK 5620 5150, for subsequent spray irrigation. 2. An application is also being made for a new licence to abstract water from the spring-fed lake at Home Farm, Annesley at National Grid Ref SK 5122 5130, the outfalls of which join to form a tributary of the River Leen. The proposal is to abstract water at the rates of 52 cubic metres per hour, 1,130 cubic metres per day and 30,000 cubic metres per year, between April and October inclusive, for direct spray irrigation. A copy of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Barracks Farm, Papplewick, Nottinghamshire, between 5 February 2005 and 5 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Trentside Offices, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
