NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Southwold Golf Club, of The common, Southwold, Suffolk, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the crag at National Grid Ref TM 502 763, at Southwold, Suffolk. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 10.8 cubic metres per hour, 200 cubic metres per day and 10,000 cubic metres per year, between 1 March and 30 November each year. This application is to renew existing licence 7/35/02/*G/0165, without change, which will otherwise expire on 31 December 2005. The water will be used for spray irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Southwold Golf Club, The common, Southwold, Suffolk, between 11 February and 11 March. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
