HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees intend on 18 March 2005 to apply to the Magistrates Court for the Commission Area for Cleveland sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Square, Middlesbrough, at the hour of 10.00 am for an Order under the provisions of section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that the highways mentioned in the Schedule hereto be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that they are unnecessary. Plans showing the highways proposed to be stopped up have been deposited at the offices of the Director of Law and Democracy at Municipal Buildings, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees and may be inspected there, free of charge, between the hours of 10.00 am and 4.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Loftus Road (part) to be closed Closure of a length of Loftus Road, including footways, commencing at its junction with Guisborough Road in a southerly direction towards Saltburn Road for a distance of 84 metres.
Guisborough Road (part) to be closed Closure of a length of Guisborough Road, including footways commencing at its junction with Lanehouse Road and Pickering Road in a westerly direction towards Loftus Road for a distance of 100 metres.
Lanehouse Road (part) to be closed Closure of a length of Lanehouse Road including footways commencing at a point 3 metres south of its junction with Guisborough Road northwards for a distance of 88 metres to the western boundary of number 178 Lanehouse Road.
Unnamed Footpath to be closed Commencing at its junction with Guisborough Road at its point 18 metres west of Lanehouse Road, northwards to Lanehouse Road for a distance of 50 metres, continuing from Lanehouse Road northwards to Lanehouse Road (B1425) for a distance of 15 metres.
