PROPOSED 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT IN ALEXANDRA AVENUE, ALFRED GARDENS, ALMA ROAD, CARLYLE AVENUE, CARLYLE GARDENS, DANE ROAD, EAST AVENUE, FOXGLOVE CLOSE, GREENFORD AVENUE, HONEYSUCKLE CLOSE, JASMINE CLOSE, LANCASTER ROAD, LIVINGSTONE ROAD, LOWDEN ROAD, MARIGOLD CLOSE, NORMAN AVENUE, NORTH AVENUE, NORTHCOTE AVENUE, ORCHID CLOSE, RUSKIN ROAD, ST GEORGE’S AVENUE, SAXON ROAD, SHACKELTON ROAD, SOUTH AVENUE, SOUTH AVENUE GARDENS, SPIKES BRIDGE ROAD, STANLEY ROAD, TUDOR ROAD, VIKING ROAD AND WEST AVENUE, SOUTHALL WITH ASSOCIATED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES

1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 84 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a 20 mph speed limit in Alexandra Avenue, Alfred Gardens, Alma Road, Carlyle Avenue (west of Lady Margaret Road), Carlyle Gardens, Dane Road, East Avenue, Foxglove Close, Greenford Avenue, Honeysuckle Close, Jasmine Close, Lancaster Road, Livingstone Road, Lowden Road, Marigold Close, Norman Avenue, North Avenue (west of Lady Margaret Road), Northcote Avenue, Orchid Close, Ruskin Road, St. George’s Avenue, Saxon Road, Shackelton Road (west of Lady Margaret Road), South Avenue, South Avenue Gardens, Spikes Bridge Road, Stanley Road, Tudor Road, Viking Road and West Avenue, Southall. 3. It is also proposed under the powers of section 90c of the Highways Act 1980 to introduce: (a) a series of road humps each with a nominal height of 75 millimetres and longitudinal width of 3.7 metres in Alexandra Avenue in the vicinity of Nos 20-22 and Nos 56-58, East Avenue in the vicinity of No 15, Greenford Avenue in the vicinity of Nos 9-11, Nos 35-37, No 52, Nos 72-74 and No 77, Lancaster Road in the vicinity of Nos 14-16 and Nos 25-27, Livingstone Road in the vicinity of Nos 7-9 and Nos 27-29, Norman Avenue, in the vicinity of Nos 12-14, Northcote Avenue in the vicinity of Nos 25-27, Nos 74-76, Nos 112-114 and Nos 149-151, Ruskin Road in the vicinity of Nos 11-13 and Nos 49-51, South Avenue, in the vicinity of Nos 17-19, Spikes Bridge Road, in the vicinity of No 9 Stanley Road, in the vicinity of Nos 19-21, Viking Road, in the vicinity of Nos 14-16 and West Avenue in the vicinity of Nos 27-29, No 55 and Nos 73-75; and (b) raised junction entry platforms with nominal heights of 100 millimetres and widths of approximately 6 metres at the junctions of Uxbridge Road with Alexandra Avenue, Lancaster Road, Livingstone Road, Ruskin Road, St. George’s Avenue, Saxon Road, Stanley Road and Tudor Road and the westernmost junctions of Lady Margaret Road with North Avenue and Shackelton Road. 4. The Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order and traffic calming measures are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Mouchel Parkman Ltd, Third Floor, 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order. 5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Mouchel Parkman, on 020 8326 3016. 6. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order or traffic calming measures should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Mouchel Parkman Ltd, 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, quoting Ref 641221/ORD 3204/sc, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
