CLOSURE OF HIGHWAY

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the borough of Middlesbrough as the Highways Authority intend, on 14 February 2005, to apply to the Magistrates’ Court of the borough of Middlesbrough, sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Square, Middlesbrough, at 10.00 am, for an Order under the provisions of section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that those lengths of highway situate in the St Hilda’s area of Middlesbrough, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, be authorised to be stopped up on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing those lengths of highway to be stopped up has been deposited at the offices of the Head of Legal Services, Middlesbrough Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Middlesbrough, and may be inspected there, free of charge, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. Schedule 1.  William Street, for its full length, from its junction with the back of the western footpath of Sussex Street, in a westerly direction for a distance of 75 metres to its junction with the back of the eastern footpath of Wellington Street. 2. The 7 metre wide turning head on Sussex Street, from the back of the western footpath of Sussex Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 5.5 metres to its termination. 3. The 9 metre wide turning head on Richmond Street, from the back of the southern footpath of Richmond Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 9 metres to its termination. 10 February 2005.
