NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LICENSES TO OBSTRUCT OR IMPEDE THE FLOW OF AN INLAND WATER BY MEANS OF IMPOUNDING WORKS AND TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Flow With Form Ltd of 18 Erica Drive, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 3TQ, is applying to the Environment Agency Wales for licenses to obstruct or impede the flow of Afon Clochnant and Nant Cwm Tywyll by means of two intakes to divert water into a pipe at National Grid Refs SJ 04140 34970 (intake 1) and SJ 04140 34950 (intake 2), approximately 1 kilometre south-east of Cadwst, Llandrillo, Denbighshire, and to abstract at the following maximum rates: intake 1: 621 cubic metres per hour, 14,904 cubic metres per day (5.44 million cubic metres per year), intake 2: 459 cubic metres per hour, 11,016 cubic metres per day (4.02 million cubic metres per year). (The capacity of the intake structures will be approximately 10 cubic metres each.) The water abstracted will be used for generation of renewable electricity before being returned to the river at National Grid Ref SJ 03515 35525. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at Cynwyd Post Office, Cynwyd, between 25 February 2005 and 25 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency Wales, Llwyn Brain, Ffordd Penlan, Parc Menai, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 4DE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
