NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that L&S Leisure Ltd, of Glyn Abbey Golf Club, Trimsaran, Carmarthenshire SA17 4LB, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Afon Gwendraeth Fawr, at National Grid Ref SN 448 073, at Pontnewydd, Carmarthenshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 7 cubic metres per hour, 100 cubic metres per day, 7,500 cubic metres per year between March and October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of Golf Course from Holding Tank and Pond. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at Glyn Abbey Golf Club, Trimsaran, between 10 February 2005 and 10 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Customer Contact, Llys Afon, Hawthorn Rise, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire SA61 2BQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
