THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO 162) ORDER 2005

1. Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council on 7 February 2005, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No 1) Order 2002, so that in the length of street specified in the Schedule to this notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on:

(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will be changed so that it will apply at any time;
(b) waiting by vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the same place for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle will be changed so that it will apply between 11.00 am and 6.30 pm throughout the week.

3. The Order, which will come into force on 14 February 2005, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm, on Monday to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AJ, until 21 March 2005.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 21 March 2005.
