THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (FREE PARKING PLACE) (DISABLED DRIVERS) (PERMIT PARKING PLACES) (NO 2) ORDER 2005
MONTAGU MANSIONS
1. Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, on 7 February 2005, made
the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of
Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government
Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Parking Place Order will be to:
(a) shorten a residents’ parking place on the south-west side of Montagu Mansions,
to provide a disabled drivers personal permit parking place for one vehicle;
(b) in respect of the residents’ parking place, the classes of vehicles for which
it will be available, the hours during which it will operate and all the time limits
during which the vehicles may be left in the parking place will remain unchanged.
3. The general effect of the Disabled Drivers Parking Place Order will be to provide
a disabled drivers’ personal permit parking place in Montagu Mansions which will be
available for the use of vehicles which display a Westminster disabled permit issued
in respect of that parking place without charge or time limit.
4. The Orders will come into force for the purpose of placing of traffic signs, etc,
on 18 February 2005, and into force for all other purposes on 21 February 2005.
5. The Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders
are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive,
at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AJ, until 21 March 2005.
6. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any
provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements
thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in
relation to either of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High
Court by 21 March 2005.
