NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
FORMER KIVETON PARK COLLIERY
Take notice that Renaissance South Yorkshire Limited, of Renaissance House, Wath Manvers,
Rotherham S63 5ND, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract
surface water from Broad Bridge Dyke at National Grid Ref SK 4920 8240, at the former
Kiveton Park Colliery.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates:
6 cubic metres per hour, 144 cubic metres per day and 20,178 cubic metres per year
(between 1 November and 31 March each year). The water will be used for topping up
recreational fishing ponds.
A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with
it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Kevin Bailey WYG,
c/o Cheetham Hill Construction Limited, former Kiveton Park Colliery, Colliery Road,
Kiveton Park, Rotherham S26 6LR, between Friday 18 February 2005 and Friday 18 March
2005.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham
NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
