WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991—SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Mrs T J Richards, Mr W R Richards, Mrs W M Horan and Mr A N Richards for consent to discharge up to 4 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent to an un-named tributary of the Sarnau Brook at National Grid Ref SJ23321531 from the sewage treatment plant serving the proposed dwellings on land adjoining Sarnau Villa, Sarnau, Llanymynech, Powys. Any persons who wish to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader, Regulatory (Water Quality) at the Agency’s offices at Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB during the period 7 February 2005 to 28 March 2005. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharging to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
