THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (A6105, DUNS ROAD JUNCTION) (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS AND U-TURNS) ORDER

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has made an Order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1), and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A1 Trunk Road, in the District of Berwick-upon-Tweed in the County of Northumberland, which will come into force on Monday 7 February 2005. The effect of the Order is to make permanent the prohibitions which came into force under an Experimental Order on 3 November 2003, as described in issue number 57101 of the London Gazette dated 31 October 2003 (Ref 505). A copy of the Order and the relevant Plan have been deposited at Berwick Library, Walkergate, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1DB, where they may be inspected during normal opening/office hours. The documents may also be seen at, or obtained by application from, the office of the Director, Traffic Operations (North), The Highways Agency, PO Box 206, 8th Floor West, City House, New Station Street, Leeds, LS1 4UR, quoting Ref HA 41/7/151. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers contained in the above Act, or any requirement of the above Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with, may apply to the High Court before Friday 18 March 2005 to suspend or quash the Order or any part of it.
