NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Langmead Farms Ltd., of 4 Prince George Street, Havant, Hampshire, for consent to discharge up to 8 cubic metres per day of secondary treated sewage effluent from a new sewage treatment plant serving the farm workers’ accommodation (caravans) at Park Farm, Lower Bognor Road, Lagness, Chichester, West Sussex to an adjacent ditch (a tributary of the Aldingbourne Rife) at National Grid Ref SU 9065 0145.
The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that these aims of the Agency regarding water quality are met. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Agency’s offices at the address given below.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Supra Area Water Quality Consenting Team at the Agency’s offices at Saxon House, Little High Street, Worthing, West Sussex BN11 2BP, during the period 4 February 2005 to 24 February 2005, quoting Ref P.12298/S/05.
Copies of the application may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Agency’s offices at the address given above.
