The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Durham) (No 01) Order 2005 authorising the stopping-up of lengths and areas of unnamed highways and of Mary Street which lie to the rear of Front Street and Clifford Road, Stanley, County Durham to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to, and by, Derwentside District Council on 27 May 2004 under Ref 1/2003/1024/D3FP. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Director Environment Group, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH (quoting Ref GO-NE/04/5053/35/09) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Derwentside District Council, Front Street, Stanley, County Durham. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 4 February 2005, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. M Grieveson, Higher Executive Officer Schedule The planning permission is granted for the redevelopment of Stanley Bus Station including toilets, kiosk, travel office, taxi office and bus concourse with reorganisation of existing access arrangements, footpaths, car parking and demolition of units 84-88 Front Street for redevelopment of entrance feature, retail units and gateway centre piece, at Bus Station and Mary Street Car Park, Stanley, County Durham.
