APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO STOP UP DRUMMOND WAY (PART), LEIGH

Notice is hereby given “by way of complaint” that the Wigan Borough Council, the highway authority within the meaning of the Highways Act 1980 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, intends to apply to the Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court sitting at Darlington Street, Wigan in the County of Greater Manchester, on 10 March 2005 at 9.45 am, for an Order authorising the stopping-up of part of the highway known as Drummond Way, Leigh on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary. The effect of the said Order will be as shown in the Plan which may be inspected at Wigan Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan and at Leigh Town Hall, Market Street, Leigh Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm and as described in the Schedule below.
