THE HOUNSLOW (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO  ) ORDER 200 
ST JOHNS ROAD, ISLEWORTH

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Hounslow propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 and Schedule 5 of the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Amendment Order would be further to amend the Hounslow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that: (a) (i) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited “at any time” throughout the week in the length of street specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (ii) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (b) waiting by vehicles for the purposes of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for a period of more than 20 minutes in the same place would be prohibited between 11.00 am and 6.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays in the streets referred to in paragraph (a) above; (c) the existing restriction on waiting by vehicles on the north-east side of St Johns Road, Isleworth between the south-eastern kerbline of Loring Road and a point 1.6 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos 32 and 34 St Johns Road, Isleworth would be varied to operate “at any time” throughout the week; (d) the existing restriction on waiting by vehicles in the lengths of street specified in Schedule 3 to this notice would be revoked. 3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2(a) and (b) above would not apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable or Council appointed Parking Attendant in uniform or in certain circumstances, that is, the picking-up or setting-down of passengers; the carrying out of statutory powers or duties; the taking in of petrol etc from roadside petrol stations; to licensed street traders, etc. The usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person’s “Blue Badge” would apply. 4. A copy of the proposed Order, together with a copy of the Order of 1977, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of plans depicting the lengths of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published in the Street Management and Public Protection Department Reception Area at the Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN. 5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Street Management and Public Protection Department, telephone 020 8583 4858. 6. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order, should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Head of Street Management and Public Protection, London Borough of Hounslow, The Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 4DN, quoting the Ref TR/DN/298, within the afore-mentioned period of 21 days. Schedule 3 Revocation of existing waiting restrictions 1.  Loring Road, Isleworth, between the north-eastern kerbline of St Johns Road, Isleworth and a point 18.29 metres north-east of that kerbline; 2.  St Johns Road, Isleworth, the north-east side, between a point 1.6 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos 32 and 34 St Johns Road, Isleworth and a point 1.83 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos 44 and 46 St Johns Road, Isleworth. 2 February 2005.
