NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991

RESTRICTION OF WORKS FOLLOWING SUBSTANTIAL ROADWORKS

1. In accordance with section 58 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (“The Act”), North Somerset Council, as Street Authority, gives 3 months’ notice of its intention to carry out substantial road works as detailed below:

2.  The works are located from:	Reference
Providence Lane, Long Ashton, for a distance of    approximately 1,000 metres in a northerly direction    from its junction with Keedwell Hill.	O/S map No 181

3. The proposed works comprise the resurfacing of the existing highway between Keedwell Hill and the B3128 Clarken Coombe.
4. The works will commence on or within 1 month of 9 May 2005.
5. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and the regulations under it, no street works may be executed in the length of the highway described in paragraph 2, without consent of North Somerset Council for a period of 12 months following completion of the works described above.
