NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Tawe and Tributaries Angling Association, of 20 Thomas Street, Pontardawe Swansea, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from unnamed Tributary, Craf Tributary and River Tawe, at National Grid Refs SN 8265 2290, SN 8253 1285 and SN 8259 127 Abercrave, Swansea. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 160 cubic metres per hour, 3,840 cubic metres per day, 1,401,600 cubic metres per year, between 1 January and 31 December each year. The water will be used for rearing brown trout in a fishery with all water being returned to River Tawe after use. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Ystradgynlais Library between 1 February 2005 and 1 March 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Wales, Maes Newydd, Llandarcy, Neath, Port Talbot SA10 6JQ before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
