NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP VARIOUS HIGHWAYS AT SUTTON ROAD AND MORRIS STREET, ST HELENS

Notice is hereby given, that St Helens Borough Council intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Corporation Street, St Helens, on Wednesday 26 January 2005, at 2.15 pm, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act, 1980, that the highways mentioned in the Schedule hereto, be authorised to be stopped up, on the ground that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the highways proposed to be stopped up, may be inspected, free of charge, at the Town Hall Reception, Corporation Street, St Helens, during normal office hours. Any person to whom this notice has been given, or who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Order, may attend and be heard on the application. The highway commencing at the south-east boundary of the former properties 2 Morris Street and extending north-west for a distance of 75 metres and being 6 metres wide as shown hatched on plan number S1. (2)  Highway closure rear of former properties formerly known as 353 to 383 Morris Street, St Helens. The highway commencing at the south-east boundary of the former properties 383 Sutton Road and extending north-west for a distance of 73 metres and being 3 metres wide as shown hatched on plan number S2. (3)  Highway closure between former properties formerly known as 343 to 341 Sutton Road, St Helens. The highway commencing at the south-west boundary of the former properties 343 Sutton Road and extending north-east for a distance of 23 metres and being 2 metres wide as shown hatched on plan number S3. (4)  Highway closure side of former property formerly known as 331 Sutton Road, St Helens. The highway commencing at the rear boundary of the former properties 331 Sutton Road and extending south-west for a distance of 22 metres and being 3 metres wide as shown hatched on plan number S4. (5)  Highway closure rear of former properties formerly known as 331 to 343 Sutton Road, St Helens. The highway commencing at the north-west boundary of the former properties 341 Sutton Road and extending north-west for a distance of 38 metres and being 3 metres wide as shown hatched on plan number S5. 22 December 2004.
