PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Newport City Council has applied to the Environment Agency for Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permits to operate installations involving the two permits at the non-hazardous landfill site. The installations are located at the Landfill Site, Docksway, Newport, South Wales NP20 2NS, in the city of Newport, South Wales. The applications contain a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC applications for permits to operate the Landfill Site, Docksway, Newport, is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Rivers House, St Mellons Business Park, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0EY; and Newport City Council, Environment and the Economy, Civic Centre, Newport, South Wales NP20 4UR. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC applications should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. The Environment Agency, Rivers House, St Mellons Business Park, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0EY. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
