THE SUTTON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (OAKHILL ROAD AREA) (NO 4) (AMENDMENT NO 3) ORDER 2004
RELATING TO SUTTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton, on 13
December 2004, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part
IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local
Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
2. The principal objective of the Order is to remove a parking space to facilitate
the construction of a vehicle crossover.
3. The general effect of the Order will be to remove one free parking space outside
No 5 Elgin Road.
4. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on Monday 20 December 2004,
the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and a plan showing the location
and effect of the Order may be examined at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton,
9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road,
Carshalton 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions
on the grounds that it, or they, are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made
under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks of the
date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
