NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth is applying to the Environment Agency to abstract water from underground strata at National Grid Ref TQ 2551 7435, at King Georges Park, Wandsworth, London SW18. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 2 cubic metres per hour, 40 cubic metres per day, 8,000 cubic metres per year, between 1 January and 31 December each year. The water will be used for topping up of a lake to maintain water levels. A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Room 223, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU, between 29 December 2004 and 29 January 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader, Water Resources, Environment Agency, South East Area, Swiss House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
