TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section
247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Borough of Middlesbrough)
(No 6) Order 2004” authorising the stopping-up of areas of highways of the A66 highway
verge, Trinity Crescent, Breen Close, Cromwell Street, Market Place, and of unnamed
highways and footpaths at North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, to enable the development
described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning
permission granted to Gould Singleton Partnership on behalf of Ettrick Limited by
Middlesbrough Borough Council on 8 April 2004, under Ref M/FP/0231/04/P.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary
of State at the offices of the Director, Environment Group, Government Office for
the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH, (quoting Ref GO-NE/04/R0715/35/03)
and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the Middlesbrough Borough
Council, PO Box 99A, Town Hall, Russell Street, Middlesbrough TS1 2QQ.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof,
or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers
of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 10 December
2004, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any
provision contained therein.

Schedule
The Planning permission is granted for 5 No 1 and 2 storey buildings comprising 5
No doctors’ surgeries, ancillary medical uses, retail and Class A3 unit on land at
corner of West Terrace and Cromwell Street, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough.
