NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, RECONSTRUCTION AND RESURFACING

Three months’ advance notice is hereby given that Torbay Council intends to carry out substantial roadworks. Work is expected to affect the footway and carriageway and will commence during February and March 2005. The street/roads in which these works will take place are: Carriageway Works Torquay Area Hamelin Way (North Bound Carriageway). Meadfoot Road/Meadfoot Sea Road (Lower Woodfield Road to St Marks Road). Lucius Street (Belgrave Road to Tor Church Road) including Footways. Tor Chuch Road (Lucius Street to Abbey Road). Livermead Hill (Old Mill Road to Railway Bridge) including footway. Lymington Road/Castle Circus (Trematon Avenue to Union Street). Teignmouth Road (Cuthbert Close to Trumlands Road). Happaway Road (Barton Hill Road to Lummaton Cross). Cockington Lane (Junction with Old Mill Road). Lower Warberry Road (Junction with Babbacombe Road). Wellington Road (Junction with Ellacombe Road). Rowley Road (Junction with Fore Street). Barton Road (Junction with Cricketfield Road). St Marychurch Road (Hatfield Cross mini roundabout). Paignton Area Well Street (Cecil Road to Church Street). Kingsway Avenue (Right Hand Side from Brixham Road). Eden Vale Road (Marldon Road to Eden Grove). Fisher Street (St Michaels Road to Grosvenor Road). Footway Works Torquay Area Burn River Rise. Fowey Avenue. Union Street (Area around GPO Roundabout). Paignton Area Marldon Road (Avon Road to Stanbury Road); Kelland Close; Langs Road; Lindsay Road; Locarno Avenue; Marine Park; Merryland Close; Merryland Gardens; Osbern Road; Primley Park; Sandringham Drive; Uplands Road; Wilton Road. Brixham Area Coniston Close; Cotmore Close; Deep Dene Close; Huccaby Close; Laywell Close; Milton Park; Summercourt Way. The works notified will include improvement, reconstruction and resurfacing of the carriageway or footway. Subject to the exemptions of the Act and Regulations under it. No street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of works described above without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
