THE BEXLEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) TRAFFIC ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Local Government Act 1985: 2. This Order would introduce: No ‘U’-turn in Bexley Lane, Sidcup outside Cleve Park School for vehicles travelling in either direction. 3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform. 4. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply in relation to a vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency. 5. A copy of the draft Order referred to above, of a map which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates and of a statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at The Information Centre, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB during normal office hours, Mondays to Fridays. 6. A copy of the draft Order, a map which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates and of a statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice at The Information Central Library, (Reference Library 1st Floor), Townley Road, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7HJ during the normal opening times of the Library. 7. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Gordon Kiley telephone number 020-8303-7777 Ext. 5932. 8. Any person wishing to comment on the proposed Order may do so by writing to Traffic and Parking Design, Wyncham House, 207 Longlands Road, Sidcup, Kent DA15 7JH stating the grounds thereof, within a period of 21 days from the date of this notice. 9. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspections.
