PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Notice is hereby given that Biffa Waste Services Ltd has applied to the Environment
Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate
an installation involving the disposal of waste by landfill, and the directly associated
activities of flaring/utilisation of landfill gas for energy recovery and treatment
of leachate. The installation is located at Studley Grange Landfill Site, Hay Lane,
Swindon, Wiltshire SN4 9QY in the district of North Wiltshire in the county of Wiltshire.
The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of
emissions from the installation on the environment.
Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate Studley
Grange Landfill Site is held in the following locations:
Public Register: The Environment Agency, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgwater, Somerset
TA6 4YS; and
Local Authority: North Wiltshire District Council, Monkton Park, Chippenham, Wiltshire
SN15 1ER.
Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above,
stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who
wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do
so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the cost of copying.
Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in
writing to the Environment Agency at the address shown below, within 28 days from
the date of this public notice:

Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless
the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there
is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been
a request.
