BY THE QUEEN A PROCLAMATION APPOINTING MONDAY, 27TH DECEMBER 2004, AND APPOINTING TUESDAY, 28TH DECEMBER 2004, IN PLACE OF SATURDAY, 25TH DECEMBER 2004 AND APPOINTING TUESDAY, 4TH JANUARY 2005 IN PLACE OF SATURDAY, 1ST JANUARY 2005 AND APPOINTING MONDAY, 30TH MAY 2005 AS BANK HOLIDAYS IN SCOTLAND. ELIZABETH R. Whereas We consider it desirable that Monday, the twenty-seventh day of December in the year 2004 should be a bank holiday in Scotland: And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Saturday, the twenty-fifth day of December in the year 2004 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of December in the year 2004 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it: And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Saturday, the first day of January in the year 2005 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Tuesday, the fourth day of January in the year 2005 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it: AND whereas We consider it desirable that Monday, the thirtieth day of May in the year 2005 should be a bank holiday in Scotland: Now, therefore, We, in pursuance of section 1(2) and (3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, do hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-seventh day of December in the year 2004 to be a bank holiday in Scotland and declare that Saturday the twenty-fifth day of December in the year 2004 shall not be a bank holiday in Scotland and do hereby appoint in place of it Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of December in the year 2004 and declare that Saturday, the first day of January in the year 2005 shall not be a bank holiday in Scotland and do hereby appoint in place of it Tuesday, the fourth day of January in the year 2005 and do hereby appoint Monday, the thirtieth day of May in the year 2005 to be a bank holiday in Scotland.
