NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited, of Henderson House, Lancaster Way, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE29 6XQ is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence 7/35/6/G/124 to abstract water from boreholes in the Chalk in the Parishes of Winston, Tuddenham St Martin, Pettistree, Woodbridge and Playford being in the districts of Mid Suffolk and Suffolk Coastal in the county of Suffolk. The proposal is to renew the current abstraction limit for the three boreholes at Winston (Grid Refs TM 183 613 and TM 183 614) at the rate of 5,000 cubic metres per day that will otherwise reduce with effect from 1 April 2005. The water will be used for public water supply. A copy of the application and any maps and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the address given above and at Debenham Public Library, 22 Cross Green, Debenham, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 6RW between 24 May 2004 and 25 June 2004. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
