NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF PROPOSALS FOR A REPLACEMENT LOCAL PLAN
SWALE BOROUGH LOCAL PLAN
Swale Borough Council have prepared proposals for the replacement of the above Plan. If, and when, these proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for the area of Swale Borough Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, during normal office hours, at: Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent; Faversham District Office, The Alexander Centre, Preston Street, Faversham, Kent; and Sheerness District Office, Trinity Road, Sheerness, Kent. The proposals can also be inspected at any of the public libraries in the borough and can be viewed on the Council’s website at www.swale.gov.uk/localplan Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing, before 5.00 pm on 4 May 2004, to: Mr S J Bessant, Head of Development Services, Swale Borough Council, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 3HT. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the period ending 5.00 pm on 4 May 2004 will have the right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing.
