NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10 section 4 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by United Utilities Water PLC for the temporary reduction of the volume of storm tank storage required by Consent 016930122.
This Consent covers Woolton Wastewater Treatment Works at Halewood Road, Gateacre, Liverpool, and permits the discharge of settled storm tank effluent to Halewood Brook at National Grid Reference SJ 4495 8746. The current storm tank storage provision is 3,285 cubic metres. The application requests that the storage volume be reduced to 2,463.9 cubic metres for the period 1 July 2003 to 30 September 2003. The application has been made so that storm tank improvement measures can be installed.
Any person wishing to make representations about the application should do so in writing to, Environment Agency, Planning and Customer Services, Appleton House, 430 Birchwood Boulevard, Warrington WA3 7WD, not later than 4 July 2003, quoting reference S/063/P/2003/V.
A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the above address during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
