THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO 8) (AMENDMENT NO 14) TRAFFIC ORDER 2003

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above-mentioned Order on 19 May 2003 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of this Order is to reduce dangerous and/or obstructive parking near certain road junctions. 3. The general effect of this Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” in Sutton Common Road at its junctions with: (a) Arlington Close; (b) Blenheim Road, (c) Broomloan Lane; (d) Clensham Lane; (e) Fairlands Avenue; (f) Forest Road; (g) Gillian Park Road; (h) Hurstcourt Road; (i) Oakwood Gardens; (j) Ridge Road; (k) St John’s Road; and (l) Taunton Close; for the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. 3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 2 June 2003, the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and plans showing the locations and effects of the Order may be examined at: Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. 5. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court. Blenheim Road, from the south-western kerbline of Sutton Common Road south-westward for a distance of 10 metres. Broomloan Lane, from the south-western kerbline of Sutton Common Road south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres. Clensham Lane, from the south-western kerbline of Sutton Common Road south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres. Fairlands Avenue, from the north-eastern kerbline of Sutton Common Road north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres. Forest Road, from the north-eastern kerbline of Sutton Common Road north-eastwards for a distance of 15 metres. Hurst Court Road : (a) the south-east side, from the north-eastern kerbline of Sutton Common Road north-eastwards for a distance of 11.8 metres (b) the north-west side, from the north-eastern kerbline of Sutton Common Road north-eastwards for a distance of 14.5 metres. Oakwood Gardens, from the south-western kerbline of Sutton Common Road south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres. Ridge Road, from the south-western kerbline of Sutton Common Road south-westwards for a distance of 15 metres. St John’s Road, Sutton, from the north-eastern kerbline of Sutton Common Road north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres.
