STOPPING-UP OF A LENGTH OF HIGHWAY AT SWINTON IN THE CITY OF SALFORD

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that, on the application of John B Woodhead, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-Up of Highways (City of Salford) (No 2) Order 2003,” authorising the stopping-up of a length of Watson Street, situated between Westover Street and Station Road, Swinton.
This stopping-up Order has been authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to John B Woodhead by the Secretary of State on 17 February 2003 under Ref APP/U4230/A02/1101363.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting Ref GO/TNW 5085/35/1/124). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Salford City Council, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 15 May 2003, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
