1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the
Council) proposes to make the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking
Area) (Amendment No ) Order 200 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule
9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act
1985.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to:
(a) introduce at any time waiting restrictions in parts of Auckland Close, Dendridge
Close, Uvedale Road and Westcroft Close and further parts of Whitehorn Gardens; and
(b) vary the times of the existing waiting and loading restrictions in a certain
length of Green Lanes, Palmers Green to apply between 8.00 am and 9.30 am and between
4.30 pm and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive.
3. A copy of the proposed Order, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing
to make the Order and of maps indicating the locations and effects of the proposed
Order and of the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area)
Order 1994, as amended, can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic
Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD, during normal office hours on Mondays
to Fridays inclusive.
4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order, or make any other representations,
should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection
stating the ground thereof, to the Head of Traffic and Parking Services, the Civic
Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD, quoting Ref LB/T/TG52/821, by 28
May 2003.
5. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any letter you write
to the Council in response to this notice may be available to the press and to the
public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
