The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway at the turning head in front of 48 The Pastures, Kings Worthy, Winchester, Hampshire. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Charles Wynford Developments Ltd c/o QED Architects by Winchester City Council on 26 March 2003, under Ref 03/00077/FUL. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected, at all reasonable hours during 28 days commencing on 1 May 2003, at the Winchester Lending Library, Jury Street, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 8RX, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East (quoting Ref GOSE 029/001/HAMP/073) at the address stated below. During the above-mentioned period of 28 days, anyone may object to the making of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting the Ref GOSE/029/001/HAMP/073 and addressing their objection to the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East, Third Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be affected by it.
