THE BRENT (GOODS VEHICLES) (FREE LOADING PLACES) (NO ) ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Brent propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the “Disabled Persons’ Parking Places” Order would be to amend the Brent (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No 3) Order 1999, so as to: (a) revoke the disabled person parking place in Ealing Road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) relocate and redefine existing disabled person parking places in Ealing Road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (c) specify, in respect of the parking places, that disabled persons’ vehicles displaying in the relevant position a disabled persons’ badge (commonly referred to as “the Blue or Orange Badge”) issued by any local authority under the provisions of the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (England) Regulations 2000 may be left therein; (d) provide that certain vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, eg, to allow persons to board or alight (maximum 2 minutes), to load or unload (maximum 20 minutes), etc. 3. The general effect of the “Goods Vehicles Free Loading Places” Order would be to amend the Brent (Goods Vehicles) (Free Loading Places) Order 1999, so as to revoke the loading place in Ealing Road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice and to relocate, lengthen or reduce in length and redefine existing loading places in Ealing Road specified in Schedule 4 to this notice. 4. The Council propose to install Road Humps/Junction Entry Tables/Speed Tables under section 90 A-F of the Highways Act 1980 in Ealing Road generally opposite Nos 111/113 and 166/168; 125 to 131 and 184; 143 and 194; 145 to 147 and 212/214 and at its junctions with Bowrons Avenue, Braemar Avenue, Clayton Avenue, Douglas Avenue, Eagle Road, Stanley Avenue and Stanley Close and outside Nos 89 and 228 Ealing Road. 5. A copy of each of the proposed Orders, of the Orders of 1999, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of map which indicate each length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at: (a) The One Stop Shop, Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 9HX; (b) The One Stop Shop, Brent House, 349-357 High Road, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 6BZ; and (c) Ealing Road Library, Ealing Road, Wembley, Middlesex HA0 4BR. 6. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Transportation Service Unit, on 020 8937 5145. 7. Persons desiring to object to either of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to The Director of Transportation, Transportation Service Unit, 2nd Floor (east) Brent House, 349-357 High Road, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 6BZ, quoting Ref TO/25/003/BFM, before the afore-mentioned date. Schedule 1 Existing disabled person parking place to be revoked Ealing Road, the south-west side, from 3 metres north-west of Nos 208 and 210 Ealing Road south-eastward for 10 metres. Schedule 2 Disabled person parking places Ealing Road: (a) the north-east side, from 1 metre south-east of Nos 121 and 123 Ealing Road north-westward for 9 metres; (b) the north-west side, from Nos 224 and 226 Ealing Road north-eastward for 19 metres; (c) the south-west side, from 3 metres north-west of Nos 188 and 190 Ealing Road north-westward for 9 metres. Schedule 3 Existing loading place to be revoked Ealing Road, the north-east side, from Nos 107 and 109 Ealing Road north-westward for 15 metres. Schedule 4 Loading places between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm (maximum 30 minutes and no return for 2 hours) and 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm throughout the week Ealing Road: (a) the north-east side, from 1 metre south-east of Nos 121 and 123 Ealing Road south-eastward for 12 metres; (b) the north-west side, from 0.5 metre north-east of Nos 212 and 214 Ealing Road south-westward for 13.5 metres; (c) the south-west side (i) from Nos 140 and 142 Ealing Road to 2 metres south-west of Nos 152 and 154 Ealing Road; (ii) the south-west side, from 6 metres south-east of Eagle Road south-eastward for 12 metres; (iii) the south-west side, from 3 metres north-west of Nos 188 and 190 Ealing Road south-eastward for 15 metres; (iv) the south-west side, from 12 metres south-east of Bowrons Avenue south-eastward for 21.5 metres. 17 April 2003.
