NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP THE HIGHWAY
SECTION 116 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

Take notice that the Newport City Council, the Highway Authority intends to apply to the Magistrates Court sitting at Abergavenny Magistrates Court, Tudor Street, Abergavenny, South Wales, on 29 April 2003, at 10.00 am, for an Order that part of the Highway, known as the Highway verge at Wellfield Road, Marshfield, Newport, South Wales, covering a total area of approximately 350 square metres located approximately 75 metres in a south westerly direction from the junction of Wellfield Court with Wellfield Road, for a distance of approximately 50 metres with a width of 1.8 metres from the edge of the carriageway for a distance of approximately 7 metres be authorised to be stopped-up on the ground that it is unnecessary. The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan which may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Council at the Civic Centre Newport South Wales between the hours of 9.00 am to 4.30 pm, on weekdays (excluding Saturdays).
