SECTION 116 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 (AS AMENDED)
APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO STOP UP KILDARE STREET, WIGAN

Notice is hereby given ‘by way of complaint’ that the Wigan Borough Council, the highway authority within the meaning of the Highways Act 1980, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, intends to apply to the Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court sitting at Darlington Street, Wigan WN1 1DW in the county of Greater Manchester, on Thursday 8 May 2003, at 9.45 am for an Order authorising the stopping-up of the highway known as Kildare Street, Wigan on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary.
The effect of the said Order will be as shown in the plan and described in the Schedule below.
