THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (COUNTY OF BEDFORDSHIRE) (NO 2) ORDER 2003

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that, on the application of Charles Church Developments Ltd, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Bedfordshire) (No 2) Order 2003” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway land at the Red Lion Public House, Woburn Road, Heath and Reach, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, to allow the conversion and extension of the existing public house to form 17 new flats and three terraced dwellings with a new access and parking, to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Parkridge Homes by South Bedfordshire District Council on 24 September 2002 under Ref SB/TP/2002/0381.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the East of England (Environment Group), Victory House, Vision Park, Histon, Cambridge CB4 9ZR (quoting Ref GT/N0220/35/1/101) until 16 April 2003 and thereafter on application to the Government Office for the East of England (Environment Group) at Eastbrook, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge CB2 2DF, and may be inspected, at all reasonable hours, at the offices of South Bedfordshire District Council,The District Offices, High Street North, Dunstable, Bedfordshire LU6 1LF or at the Heath and Reach Parish Council Notice Board, outside Alldays, Birds Hill, Heath and Reach, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 25 March 2003 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
