NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Application A Take notice that Bomford Limited of Manor Farm, Luddington, Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire CV37 9SJ, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from underground strata from Lower Has via borehole at National Grid Ref SP16225210, at Manor Farm, Luddington, Stratford on Avon. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 72 cubic metres per day, 26,280 cubic metres per year, all year. The water will be used for vegetable washing purposes throughout the year. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Manor Farm, Luddington, Stratford on Avon, between 20 March 2003 and 24 April 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8JG. Application B Take notice that Bomford Limited of Orchard Farm, Salford Priors, Evesham, Worcestershire WR11 5UU, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 18/54/17/695/G to abstract water from underground strata from Mercia Mudstones, at Salford Priors, Evesham, Worcestershire, at National Grid Ref SP07005110, at 2 areas of land at Orchard Farm, Salford Priors, Evesham, Worcestershire, shown outlined in red on the supporting map, which is at Dunnington Court Farm, Dunnington, Alcester, Warwickshire. The variation being applied for is to increase authorised licence quantities as follows: Annual rate from 70,960 cubic metres to 96,460 cubic metres for spray irrigation. To increase vegetable washing water from 25,500 cubic metres to 51,000 cubic metres to be used throughout the year. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Dunnington Court Farm, Dunnington, Alcester, Warwickshire, between 20 March 2003 and 24 April 2003.
