THE PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990—SECTION 69 AND 70

DESIGNATION OF CONSERVATION AREAS

1. Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of sections 69 and 70 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 the Waveney District Council (the relevant Local Planning Authority) has extended by designation the following existing Conservation Areas within the Waveney District:

(a) North Lowestoft Conservation Area
(b) South Lowestoft Conservation Area

2. The effect of the designation is to extend the geographical area of the existing Conservation Areas referred to above and thereby to bring additional areas within the scope of conservation area control as detailed in the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
3. A copy of a plan showing the designated extensions referred to above is available at the Council Offices at the Town Hall, Lowestoft and Rectory Road, Lowestoft (Planning and Building Control Department) and may be inspected during normal office hours.
